Exciting Test Match at Lord's

The third Test match between India and England is currently underway at Lord's, with the series poised at a thrilling juncture as both teams have secured one victory each. The stakes are high as they compete for the lead in this match. This Test series has been marked by an impressive display of batting, and India has made headlines by achieving a remarkable feat: they have set a new record for the most sixes hit in a Test series on foreign soil.

Historic Achievement by Team India

Previously, the record for the most sixes in an overseas Test series was held by the West Indies, who hit 32 sixes during a five-match series against India in 1974-75. However, India has now surpassed this long-standing record, having struck 36 sixes in the ongoing series against England. In the first Test, they hit 12 sixes, followed by 19 in the second Test, and 5 sixes in the first innings of the third Test.

First Innings Scores Even

In the third Test at Lord's, both teams ended their first innings with identical scores of 387 runs. England batted first, with Joe Root scoring a century and Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse contributing with half-centuries. India matched this total, thanks to KL Rahul's century, Rishabh Pant's 74 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja's solid innings of 72 runs.
